Well Earned Daily Privacy Policy

Last updated: [date]

Well Earned Daily is a rep and habit tracker made by Ryan Nash. This page explains what the app keeps on your phone and what it sends.

Your data stays on your phone

Your trackers, boards, logs, streaks, goals, reminders, reward photos and settings are saved on your phone. There is no account. There is no cloud copy. We can't see this data. If you delete the app without a backup, it's gone.

Anonymous usage stats

The app sends a few anonymous signals to TelemetryDeck. TelemetryDeck processes them for us. They tell us whether people come back and which features get used.

The app sends only these five signals:

Each signal also carries:

The signals never include your name, tracker or board names, reward labels, notes, the numbers or dates you log, or photos. We don't use an advertising ID. We don't track you across apps or websites, so the app never asks for tracking permission. We don't sell data. If a signal fails to send, it is dropped. Nothing is saved up and sent later.

Turning it off

Go to Settings, then Privacy, then "Share anonymous usage stats", and pick Off. From then on nothing is sent. Your install ID is deleted. If you turn it back on, the app makes a new install ID that can't be linked to the old one.

Exporting your data

On a tracker's report screen you can export a CSV file of that tracker. It lists the tracker name, unit, each day's total and entries, the daily target, whether you hit it, and your current and longest streak. The file is made on your phone. It goes only where you send it from the share sheet.

Backups

In Settings, Export backup makes one file of your trackers, boards, logs, streaks, goals, reminders and settings. It does not include your reward photos, only the dates you added them. The file is made on your phone. It goes only where you send it from the share sheet, for example Files, AirDrop or email. Restore from backup reads a file you pick and replaces the data on your phone after you confirm. Before it replaces anything, the app saves a copy of your current data on your phone. We never see your backup files.

Voice logging

If you use voice logging, the app asks for microphone and speech recognition access. Apple's speech recognition turns your words into text, so Apple may process the audio under its own privacy policy. The app keeps the log entry, not the recording.

Reward photos

If you add a photo of what you earned, from the camera or your photo library, it is saved on your phone only. It is never uploaded. It leaves your phone only if you share a card.

Reminders

Reminders and streak alerts are scheduled on your phone. We don't run a server that sends them.

Share cards

Share cards are made on your phone. Nothing leaves the app unless you tap share and pick where it goes.

Purchases

[Keep only if purchases are turned on for the build.] Subscriptions go through Apple. We use RevenueCat to check whether you've subscribed. RevenueCat gets an anonymous ID and your purchase status. It doesn't get your name or payment details.

Children

The app isn't meant for children under 13.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version goes on this page with a new date.
